What to Bring
The main outreach activity of Holy Ground meets Thursday evenings,
starting at 6:00 p.m. The outreach is designed to support the homeless or near-homeless,
but anyone who needs a "family" support group is welcome. We host men and women,
those who have jobs and those who are unemployed, those who have a home and those
who are living on the streets. Other small-group meetings, also administered under
Holy Ground, currently include small-groups studies / support groups on Monday,
Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings.
If you would like to make an in-kind donation in support of Holy Ground activities,
we serve approximately 200 clients each week. Contributions of canned vegetables
(we prefer 24 oz. or larger), dry goods (rice, beans, serving canisters of sugar/creamer, etc.),
serving items (styrofoam trays, plastic forks/knives/spoons, or table covers), storage
supplies (foil, plastic wrap, baggies, etc.), or frozen foods (meats, vegetables, etc.)
all greatly assist us in meeting these physical needs throughout the year, also providing
us opportunities to nourish souls. If you have a specific food donation in mind,
contact Holy Ground's coordinator Curtis Lovett at (281) 833-3512 or write
Alternatively, you can reach Tommy Thompson at (281) 833-3501, or write
.
Thank you, and may God bless you richly!
