Operation ID
Operation ID, an all-volunteer ministry, is a non-profit organization that
helps the homeless, the indigent, and those recently released from prison to
regain their identity so they can begin the transition back into society.
For over 30 years, as many as 7,000 clients annually are referred to us
for help in obtaining a photo ID and/or birth certificate that has been
lost or stolen. Without these documents, it is now impossible to apply
for work, housing, credit, social services, or to enroll children in
school. Volunteer opportunities exist for interviewers, computer operators,
and administrative support personnel. We are open at 5100 Travis
every Tuesday and Thursday morning.
For information on how we work, what clients
need for services, hours, and other general information, call (281) 833-3508
or email us at .
If you are interested in volunteering for this ministry, positions are listed on
Operation ID's "Volunteer" page. You can also contact Phil Pierce at (281) 833-3506,
or e-mail him at
for further information.
